Linda Gubitosi: "My name is Linda Gubitosi and I'm currently here in Dayton, Texas. Everyday I look for a job. I live month to month. I don't have to be on welfare because I know if you believe and you have faith it will come. Government's gotten way excessive. The average individual works their you-know-what off and they have very little to show for it."

Gov. Mike Huckabee: "People feel disconnected from the people who are making decisions - the decisions that touch them, affect them, and sometimes the decisions that break them, and they don't feel like they've got a voice anymore. They don't feel like anybody's listening. They don't feel like anybody even understands or knows who they are, much less cares what's happening to them.

Gov. Mike Huckabee: "I'm not a Republican because I grew up rich, I'm a Republican because I didn't want to spend the rest of my life poor, waiting for the government to rescue me."

Gov. Mike Huckabee: "Instead of fighting over the minimum wage, why don't we focus on solutions that help every American earn his or her maximum wage."

Linda Gubitosi: "The middle class in America I think is almost gone. The middle class has what's been supporting our country, and they're getting squeezed out, day by day. We gotta get that core of America back, somehow."

Gov. Mike Huckabee: "One thing that has to happen in America is moving the power away from Washington, where people are so disconnected from the way that so many ordinary Americans live. It's a disaster. Power needs to be local and limited, because the closer government is to the people, the more accountable it is to the people who are being governed. Washington is out of control. It's time to return power to state and local governments, break the cycle of poverty and government dependency, and quit apologizing for being America."
