"Rick Perry in Early States and CPAC"
+
1:51 video from Feb. 27, 2014.
[Music]
Rick Perry (audio):
The time has come to usher in a new era of reform and prosperity and
revival...America is and always will be the last great hope of the free
world.
[Music changes tempo]
Newscaster:
Former Texas Governor Rick Perry made a pair of stops in South Carolina
yesterday....
George Stephanopoulos:
The
Texas
Governor
was
back in Iowa this week...
Newcaster (audio):
Tough and free thinking--Rick Perry describes the people of New
Hampshire in his online ad...
Rick Perry (clip from NH
appearance): We will be there standing up for freedom no matter
where it is, economically, militarily, and if we have a Congress and a
President that respect that then the greatest years of America are in
front of us.
Woman: He looks
presidential...
Woman (audio): He
was going through his phone, showing us pictures of his granddaughter
and everything...so he seems very personable.
Man: How's it
going? Perry: It's all good, man, you doing alright? Man:
Yes sir. Perry: Good to see you.
Rick Perry (clips from NH):
The
people
of
New
Hampshire, they want to hear that you've got a heart,
that you care about them, and you go into their communities.
Nobody in 2011 knew that I grew up on a dry-land cotton farm; I grew
up in a house that didn't have running water.
At this particular point in time, looking at the field there's only
one individual that's ever had the uniform of this country on, and
that's me, and that matters.
Rick Perry (clip from CPAC
2015): It's time that we build an America where our citizens and
their children can dream again. So let's roll up our sleeves,
let's go to work and let's revive this great nation again. God
bless you. Thank you for being with us here today.
[Cheers, "Thank you,"
Applause]
Notes: The video includes much footage from the
earlier NH video with
CPAC footage added at the end; impressive to get that up on the same
day as his speech there. Interesting
high speed opening and closing sequence.
Media figures Jeff Zeleny and Peter Hamby in the video.
