"Math"- Indiana
version +
0:30 TV ad run in IN announced April 21, 2016.
[Music]
Male Announcer:
If
you
don't
want
Donald
Trump
to
win,
your
choice comes down to this.
Math.
Only Ted Cruz can beat Donald Trump.
John Kasich can't do it. The math won't work.
A vote for Kasich actually helps Trump by dividing the opposition.
It's time to put differences aside.
To stop Trump, vote for Cruz.
Club for Growth Action is responsible for the content of this
advertising.
Notes: At a
glance the Indiana version looks the same as the Wisconsin version
from March 24. However there are a few differences. This ad
is from Club for Growth Action rather than Club for Growth. Also,
the graph ihas been revised in a couple of ways. First, the
numbers are updated (it is now 845, 559 and 147 insted of 739, 465 and
143). Second, in the new Indiana version, the graphic does not
add the Kasich delegates to Cruz's but leaves them to the side.
This suggests that Club for
Growth has gotten the idea that Kasich is not going to join forces with
Cruz. The graph is still deceptive in that the scale is way off,
making
it appear that Cruz's delegate total is closer to Trump's than it
actually is.

Club for Growth Action
Targets Indiana for Anti-Trump Ad Buy
"There is now no state more important
than Indiana for electing Cruz
and keeping Trump from reaching 1,237.”
Washington, DC – Club for Growth Action, a political arm of
the Club
for Growth, released the following statement about a new ad buy that is
starting tomorrow in Indiana:
“Indiana is facing a unique moment in history: the
opportunity to
stop Donald Trump,” said Club for Growth Action president David
McIntosh. “After success with our ads in Wisconsin, Iowa, Oklahoma, and
Utah, CFG Action is about to blanket the Hoosier State with a simple
message: To stop Trump, vote Cruz. There is now no state more important
than Indiana for electing Cruz and keeping Trump from reaching 1,237.
“With his responses to every new issue Donald Trump
demonstrates
that he is really a hardcore liberal. The polls show that he would be
beaten badly in November, and the fallout would spread to House and
Senate races, and ultimately the Supreme Court. Hoosiers who want a
genuine conservative, pro-growth president should back Ted Cruz.”
CFG Action’s ad can be seen here and will begin broadcasting on statewide television in Indiana on April 22, with an ad buy of about $1.5 million.
