Hillary
Clinton: For Lynn's family, the big stress is paying
$400/month in medical and drug costs for Aidan.
For other families it's higher deductibles,
premiums and co-pays that keep adding up.
That's why we've got to crack down on price
gouging, cap out-of-pocket costs and fast track approval of less
expensive generic drugs.
Because we've got to get health care costs under
control for Lynn's family and for yours.
I'm Hillary Clinton and I approve this message.

In New Ad, Hillary Clinton
Fighting To Reduce Health Care and
Prescription Drug Costs
Hillary for America’s newest ad “Aidan”
outlines Hillary Clinton’s plan to tackle out of control prescription
drug costs. The ad features Iowan Lynn Kutsch, a nurse who works
the
night shift at a local hospital, and her six-year-old Aidan, who
suffers from the effects of rare disease known as hydrocephalus. The ad
outlines Clinton’s plan to fight rising health costs like the high
deductibles that make it hard for Lynn to afford Aidan’s medication.
Individuals
with chronic or serious illnesses are often spending thousands of
dollars a year in out-of-pocket costs. Yet, the largest pharmaceutical
companies are together earning $80-$90 billion per year in profits
while too often charging Americans excessive prices.
Clinton
has made a commitment to address the high deductibles, premiums and
copays, that prevent too many Americans from receiving the treatment
they need. Her plan cracks down on price gouging, excessive
profiteering, place a cap on out-of-pocket costs, and improves
fast-track the approval of generic drugs. This proposal, working in
tandem with a previously proposed tax credit, will help families afford
the care they deserve.
The
new 30-second spot is part of the campaign's ongoing buy in
Iowa and
New Hampshire and will run alongside previously released ads.
