How much do we
really know about Donald Trump?
On abortion:
Russert: You
would not ban it? Trump:
No.
Russert:
Or ban partial birth abortion? Trump: No. I am
pro-choice in every respect.
Male Announcer:
On
health
care:
Trump:
Everybody's got to be covered. Croft: Universal
health care? Trump:
I
am
going
to
take
care of everybody. Croft: Who pays for
it? Trump: The government's going to pay for it...
Male Announcer:
Trump's
even
praised
Hillary
Clinton:
Trump:
Hillary's always surrounded herself with very good people. I
think Hillary would do a good job.
Male Announcer:
Can
we
trust
Donald
Trump?
Notes: Compare to the anti-Trump ad
run by Stand ffor Truth, Inc. one of the pro-Cruz super PACs.
Both use the same clip on abortion from NBC News "Meet the Press," both
include Trump statements praising Hillary Clinton, and both broadly
seek to raise the question of trust.
See also Our Principles PAC's "More Questions" and note there were also 15-second versions of the "Questions" ads.
Katie Packer
Gage, who served as deputy campaign manager on Mitt Romney's 2012
campaign, founded Our Principles PAC in Jan. 2016 to take on Donald
Trump (although the mission statement doesn't really say that).
Mission
Statement
As Thomas Jefferson said, "In matters of style, swim with the current.
In matters of principle, stand like a rock." With our nation's progress
stalled by politicians who refuse to lead, Americans are rightly
frustrated. Our Principles PAC was formed to educate and engage
American voters about the men and women who seek our vote, and about
the challenging issues they will confront should they get elected.
