Santorum for President 2016
"Fairytales"
+
:60 TV ad run in IA announced Jan. 4, 2016.
[Music]
Ted Cruz (clip from Senate
semi-filibuster): "I like green eggs and ham..."
Male Announcer: Ted
Cruz is wonderful at reading children's fairytales on the Senate floor.
Ted Cruz:
"...Sam I am."
Male Announcer:
Rick
Santorum
spent
his
time
in the Senate a little differently.
Eight years on
the Senate Armed Services Committee, helping to modernize today's army
to better be prepared for today's threats.
Santorum also wrote and
passed tough laws putting harsh sanctions on Iran.
And for more than a
decade, Rick Santorum has been a leader ... taking on
radical Islam.
Santorum (clip from debate):
"Not
all
Muslims
are
jihadists, and no one would say that, but the
reality is all jihadists are Muslims."
Male Announcer:
You want someone to read one helluva bedtime story, Ted Cruz is your
guy.
If you want to protect America and defeat ISIS, Rick Santorum's
your President.
Because serious times need serious people.
Notes: This ad jabs at Sen. Cruz who
famously read from Dr. Seuss during hs Sept. 25, 2013 semi-filibuster
and whose campaign recently produced a spoof ad.
According to the Santorum campaign's Jan. 4, 2016
press release (notice that there is no mention of Cruz):
Republican
presidential candidate and winner of the 2012 Iowa Republican
presidential caucus Rick Santorum released his campaign's first
television advertisement entitled "Fairytales."
The
ad details Sen. Rick Santorum's (R-PA) long track-record of
accomplishment in defending America - including 8 years of
distinguished service on the Senate Armed Services Committee working to
transition the American military from a Cold War fighting force to one
prepared to defeat the asymmetric threats we face today, authoring the
United States' sanctions against Iran's nuclear program, and warning of
the threat of radical Islam for over a decade.
"Fairytales" will air on all platforms (network, cable, and digital) across Iowa beginning this week.
