Don
McVaugh: I spent 22 years in the Air Force and I was a
Republican for every one of them.
I was rationalizing Donald Trump's behaviors until
I heard that tape. That was the last straw.
I don't want my granddaughter thinking it's okay
to be treated that way and my grandson growing up thinking that's how
he should treat women.
That scares me, that scares me a lot.
So Hillary's got my vote.
We don't see eye to eye on everything, but she's
strong and I respect her.
And she's someone that my grandkids can respect
too.
Clinton (voiceover): I'm Hillary Clinton and I approve this message.

New TV Ads Feature
Republicans Defecting from Trump and His Views on
Women
Hillary for America is airing a series of new ads in which
Republican voters explain their decision to support Hillary Clinton
after a recent video showing Trump’s revolting views on and actions
toward women. Since the tape was released, 12 women have come forward
to confirm Trump engaged in the type of behavior he had boasted about
and then denied.
The ads include Don McVaugh, a lifelong Republican and an Air
Force
veteran from Powhatan, Virginia; Tiffany Lewey, a Republican and a
mother with two children from Lantana, Texas; and, Terry Daniel, a
lifelong Republican and a father with two children from Phoenix,
Arizona. While these – and many other - Republicans do not agree with
Hillary Clinton on every position, they trust that she has the judgment
and experience to be America’s Commander in Chief and they’re
increasingly concerned that Donald Trump is a danger to women and girls.
Earlier today, in Dade City, Florida, Clinton continued outlining the choice in this election, including Trump’s views, rhetoric and action that show how bad his presidency would be for women and girls.
These ads will run in the battleground states of Florida,
Iowa,
Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Throughout this campaign an unprecedented number of leading Republicans
have not only come out against Donald Trump, but have put their country
ahead of their party and endorsed Hillary Clinton for President. That
includes:
- Former Cabinet Secretaries like Commerce Secretary Carlos
Gutierrez, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, Treasury
Secretary Hank Paulson, HUD Secretary Carla Hills and others;
- Former Members of Congress like Senator John Warner and
Representative Chris Shays, Connie Morella, Richard Hanna, and others;
- National Security leaders like former National Security Advisor Brent
Scowcroft, former Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte,
former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, former Secretary of
the Air Force Mike Donley, and others;
- Administration Officials like former Deputy Chief of Staff to
President George H.W. Bush Jim Cicconi, former Political Director for
President Reagan Frank Lavin, former Staff Secretary to President
George H.W. Bush, and others;
