Howie Mandel Joins Draft Biden National Finance Team

Dr. Howie Mandel, a prominent Los Angeles-based Democratic donor, is the latest person to join Draft Biden 2016’s National Finance Team. Dr. Mandel served on Obama for America’s Health Policy Advisory Committee and was previously an advisor to then Senator Biden on health care issues during his presidential campaign.

Touting Vice President Biden’s foreign policy experience, Dr. Mandel said, “The 2016 Presidential election will be about truth and the future. In 2007, then Senator Biden was 100% right about Iraq. He was 100% right about Afghanistan. In the 90’s, he was right about Bosnia. There are few statesmen in America today with his knowledge and experience in international affairs.”

Dr. Mandel further added, “Vice President Biden has always been a fighter for our people living in inner cities, the working man/woman, women’s rights, kids and law enforcement. He tells the truth; he is authentic. The millennial generation is now the largest in America—it demands authenticity, it demands honesty, it demands a leader with knowledge and experience who will fight for them. It is time for an American leader that tells it like it is. The world is a dangerous place but with honest, straight talking leadership, together we can handle America’s problems. We need Joe Biden to run for President.”

“We are proud to welcome Dr. Howie Mandel to the growing ranks of our finance team,” said Jon Cooper, National Finance Chair for Draft Biden 2016. “He joins other major Democratic donors and fundraisers who have already pledged their support to Vice President Biden. The enthusiasm for his presidential run is palpable, particularly among former Obama bundlers who have been looking for a candidate they can get excited about. Joe Biden is that candidate.”
