Jeb announces South Carolina Upstate leadership team

Following a successful trip to Greenville on Friday, October 2, Governor Jeb Bush named the first round of Upstate campaign leaders for his Presidential campaign.

This strong show of support comes on the heels of multiple other endorsements from local elected officials, both living South Carolina Medal of Honor recipients, gubernatorial appointees, former Republican Party leaders and businesspeople across the state.

“I’m supporting Governor Bush because of his conservative record of accomplishment. He cut taxes by $19 billion and reduced the size of government – that’s the kind of fiscal responsibility we need in Washington,” said Greenville County Co-Chair Lance Byars.

“Our party needs an experienced leader with a record of results, not someone who just talks. Governor Bush can lead our country on critical issues like protecting life, cutting burdensome government regulations and growing our economy because he’s already done it as governor.  Jeb Bush is the leader we need,” said Union County Chair Michael Fowler.
