Nov. 2 - Elected Governor of Wisconsin, def. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett by 52.3% to 46.5%.
Jan. 3 - Inaugurated as Wisconsin's 45th Governor.
mid-Feb. - protests over legislation to cut benefits and collective bargaining for public employees.
March 11 - Walker signs the bill.
June 5 - Wins recall election, def. Mayor Tom Barrett by 53.1% to 46.3% (first governor to win a recall election in U.S. history).

Nov. 4 - Faces Mary Burke (D), a former VP at Trek Bicycle and former state Commerce Secretary, in bid for a second term.

April 30 - Following a pension scandal, Walker elected Milwaukee County Executive in a special election, def. James Ryan by 55.2% to 44.8%.

April 6 - Re-elected County Executive, def. David Riemer by 57.3% to 42.5%.



April 1 - Re-elected County Executive, def. Lena C. Taylor by 58.7% to 41.2%.
