WHO ARE WE?
We are a multi-partisan movement of concerned citizens and volunteers, united against the unprecedented threat of an unqualified candidate taking our nation's highest office.

Unite For America is a movement of concerned citizens, organizations, unions and grassroots networks formed in the wake of the 2016 Presidential Crisis.

Our mission is to develop and amplify multi-partisan public initiatives that yield measurable results in safely resolving the 2016 U.S. Presidential Crisis.

WHAT DO WE STAND FOR?
We stand for the defense of historic American values.
Trump's unprecedentedly unqualified administration, Russia's confirmed interference, and the associated business conflicts of interest are an affront to the core American values that Republicans, Democrats and Independents have historically fought to protect.

HOW DO WE STOP TRUMP?
The Constitution of the United States of America.
In their prescient wisdom, the Founding Fathers designed a constitutional tool to prevent the Oval Office from ever falling into the hands of an unqualified candidate: the Electoral College.

We call on 37 Republican patriots to elect a real leader.

Unity vigils launch in state capitols nationwide before Electoral College vote

Since Texas Republican elector Christopher Suprun's announcement denouncing Trump on December 5, Unite For America allies within the Electoral College have been in talks with multiple electors seeking public support and legal counsel in denying Trump their vote on December 19.

Grassroots action groups, organizers, and communities nationwide are organizing peaceful vigils and unity rallies outside state capitol buildings to help set in motion a historic movement to deny an unqualified candidate the nation's highest office.

For more information visit www.uniteforamerica.org/action.

Organizers call for attendees to wear purple this week as a sign of unity and courage for electors to vote their conscience for a different candidate, but do not claim to have a consensus agreement on which candidate electors should chose instead.

DECEMBER 17 | #TURNOUT KICKOFF RALLY & VIGIL

RSVP https://www.facebook.com/events/208766682860195/

Thousands of Americans will descend on the steps of the Washington Memorial for a "gathering of the communities" rally and unity vigil organized by #Turnout and Unite For America DC. The event will feature speeches from across the political spectrum, unified in agreement that Donald Trump's presidency and Russia's influence on his administration are a threat to our national security. Speakers include Texas Republican elector Christopher Suprun and Standing Rock activist Jordan Marie Daniel, member of the Kul Wicasa Oyate/Lower Brul Sioux Tribe. For a full list of speakers, visit www.turnoutdc.org.

"Getting the myriad voices together who make up this movement in one place is such a critical step to forming a united message for the electors," said #Turnout organizer John McGrane. "Our message here is that regardless of our political differences, if this presidency is allowed to take place it will impact us all. They must do the right thing."

DECEMBER 16-19 | UNITY VIGILS & RALLIES

RSVP https://www.facebook.com/uniteamericaorg/events

Peaceful vigils will begin at sundown outside state capitols leading up to December 19. These will culminate in elector support rallies on December 19, when the Electoral College meets to cast their ballots. Attendees are asked to wear purple and bring purple candles, glowsticks and banners as a symbol of unity and bravery for electors.

Unite For America lead organizer Jon Gedney released the following statement:

"The only way to stop a candidate who succeeded by exploiting our division as a country is to come together now in our nation's darkest hour. Donald Trump's cavalier disregard for statesmanlike behavior, Russia's blatant interference over his candidacy in order to incite civil unrest, and his unprecedentedly unqualified and hateful administration are not only an affront to our core values as Americans, but are also a clear threat to our national security.

"The heavy task falls now on the Electoral College to safely resolve the Presidential Crisis. Flood the streets with purple this week as a sign of unity and courage for Republican electors to abstain or vote for an alternative president. Only thirty-seven Republican patriots are needed to step up for America. We hope these peaceful vigils remind them that the decision they make on December 19th will forever define us as a nation."

Unite For America is a national movement of concerned citizens and communities, brought together in the wake of the 2016 U.S. Presidential Crisis. We are united in our patriotic desire to work together to preserve the security and peace of our country and the world. Join us at www.uniteforamerica.org.

Hamilton Electors ally with Unite For America

  • Democratic Elector Polly Baca to host private conference call for Electors to explore “Unity Candidate” strategy

  • Elector Art Sisneros resigns from Electoral College, first Republican Elector to speak out in protest of Trump

The Hamilton Electors, a group including members of the Electoral College working to organize with Republicans to support an alternative to Trump, have allied with Unite For America, a national multi-partisan grassroots network of anti-Trump organizers formed in the wake of the 2016 general election.

The new alliance signals an historically unified, patriotic push from voices across the country and political spectrum to put the Electoral College “in play” as intended by the Founders to prevent a Trump presidency. Both groups share the mission of identifying an adequately qualified, more moderate “Unity candidate” to replace Trump this December 19th when the Electoral College votes. If this new Republican option can help bring the Republican electoral vote count for Trump below 270, the decision will then fall to the Republican-controlled House of Representatives where a combination of bi-partisan votes can bring a Republican-led “unity government” into existence for the good of the nation.

Candidates proposed by the Unite For America movement include 2016 Republican Presidential candidate John Kasich, 2012 Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney, and Independent Michael Bloomberg.

The partnership also follows a new statement released on Sunday by Republican Elector Art Sisneros, announcing his resignation from the Electoral College in protest of Donald Trump. This heroic first stand makes Sisneros the first Republican Elector to publicly speak out against President-Elect Trump’s lack of qualifications.

“Sisneros’ announcement is a clear indicator that the wall is beginning to crumble,” says Bret Chiafolo, co-founder of the Hamilton Electors. “Americans of conscience are beginning to heed the call to unite against this unprecedented threat to our country.”

Next steps announced by the movement include:

  1. Democratic Elector Polly Baca, a member of the Hamilton Electors, also announces a private conference call open to all members of the Electoral College interested in exploring a strategy to elect a “Unity Candidate.” She hopes that her Democratic Elector colleagues will consider this option in the event that recount efforts are not successful. Electors interested in participating in the conference should email Baca at unity@hamiltonelectors.com. All correspondence will be kept strictly confidential.

  2. Unite For America calls on all Americans interested in stopping Trump to show their support to both the Electoral College and congressional representatives by signing the official Change.org petition here.

With much exciting and substantive movement for this historic initiative going on behind the scenes, expect additional updates to be released each day at www.uniteforamerica.org and on Facebook.
