South Carolina Democratic Party Certifies 2016 Presidential Primary Ballot
Columbia,
SC—The South Carolina Democratic Party Executive Council certified four
candidates to appear on the Party's 2016 Presidential preference
primary ballot on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Former Secretary
of
State Hillary Clinton, former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, United
States Senator Bernie Sanders, and Chicago businessman Dr. Willie
Wilson were certified by the State Party's Executive Council Monday.
"A
Democrat will be the next President of the United States, and South
Carolina Democrats are looking forward to our role in deciding and
voting for our nation's next leader in February," SCDP Chair Jaime
Harrison said. "Democrats are so fortunate to have qualified
candidates who will fight for the middle class and work to make sure
everyone has an opportunity to succeed."
