Former North Dakota Elected Officials and Former First Lady Endorse Hillary Clinton

Today, former Governor George Sinner, former First Lady Jane Sinner, former US Representative Earl Pomeroy, former US Senator Byron Dorgan, former US Senator Kent Conrad, and former US Attorney to North Dakota Tim Purdon endorsed Hillary Clinton, arguing she is the best choice to raise wages and break down barriers holding back North Dakotan families.

"Hillary Clinton is a remarkable woman. If there was ever an individual capable of leading this country, it would be Hillary,” former First Lady Jane Sinner said. “She has the background, the intelligence, the insight and the empathy to be an outstanding president and she will make all women proud. I am honored to call her my friend.  Hillary and Bill have been friends since December 1984 and we have watched through the years as they have dedicated their careers to improving the lives of others. They are both true public servants."

“After years of working with Hillary Clinton as First Lady, Senator, and then Secretary of State, I know there is no one more prepared for this job,” former US Senator Kent Conrad said. “Let’s remember when the Clinton team was on the field, America was winning.  They led the longest economic expansion in American history, helped create 23 million jobs, and balanced the budget.  Incomes were rising and poverty rates were falling sharply and America was at peace.  Those are the facts. I found Senator Clinton to be warm, smart and absolutely dedicated to improving the lives of the people of North Dakota and the nation.  She took a direct and personal interest in helping us recover from the disaster in Grand Forks.  I strongly support her for President of the United States.”

Today’s endorsers will serve as advisers to the campaign to engage voters and work with the Hillary for North Dakota team to build a team of volunteers and supporters ahead of the June 7 caucus.
