Hillary for America Announces More Support from DNC Members and Party Leaders

Hillary for America announced support from key Democratic National Committee members and party leaders continues to grow – with 20 new backers of the campaign. Clinton has now clinched the majority of votes, the majority of pledged delegates and the majority of delegates overall. Clinton has 2,219 pledged delegates, 15 million votes and she won 9 of the 10 top turnout states in the primary.

With the Democratic primaries over, these party leaders know Hillary Clinton has the proven toughness to take on the tough fights as President and get real results that matter in people’s lives. They share Clinton’s commitment to raising wages for the middle class, making college affordable, lowering drug and health care costs, helping families save for a secure retirement, and keeping us safe.

“We’re honored to have the support from these party leaders who know that Hillary Clinton has a lifelong record of fighting for women and children that they can believe in,” said Marlon Marshall, Hillary for America Director of State Campaigns and Political Engagement. “These leaders will only strengthen our grassroots-driven campaign as we engage even more voters in building a campaign that can win.
