WEDNESDAY: Former Executive
Councilor Debora Pignatelli To Endorse Hillary
Clinton, Kick-Off Women for Hillary Phone Bank
Nashua
- Former Executive Councilor Debora Pignatelli will launch a
phone bank
on Wednesday, September 30th at 6 pm ET in Nashua, where she
will
officially endorse Hillary Clinton for President of the
United
States. Pignatelli, a long-time elected official and one of the
state's
leading female voices during her tenure as Executive Councilor, will
speak to grassroots volunteers about the ways Hillary Clinton will
fight for women and families in the White House. This phone bank is one
of Hillary for New Hampshire's 30 Women for Hillary events in 30 days
statewide push.
“One
of the presidential candidates has adopted the slogan, ‘Make America
Great Again,’ but Hillary knows that America is already
great," said
former Executive Councilor Debora Pignatelli. "She wants to
make it
better by fighting to give women and working families more
opportunities, by protecting our environment, and by giving people
forced to live in the shadows the chance to succeed.”
Starting
in September, Hillary for New Hampshire began hosting 30 Women for
Hillary events in 30 days as part of the campaign's effort
to engage
voters, supporters, and volunteers, to take part in the campaign.
Across the state the campaign is building the lasting relationships
through one-on-one meetings and small gatherings that power successful
Democratic campaigns in the Granite State.
Hillary
Clinton has fought for women and girls her entire career. As
president,
Clinton will protect funding for Planned Parenthood, and will fight
Republicans who are trying to make it harder for women to access
affordable health care including birth control. She will fight to
ensure America finally guarantees paid family leave, allowing Americans
to take care of a new baby or a sick relative without losing their
paycheck or their job. And she will fight to ensure that women receive
equal pay. This will strengthen America’s families by helping women and
their families get ahead.
Hillary
Clinton launched Women for Hillary at a rally in Portsmouth, New
Hampshire on September 5th. In the following weeks, she has
been endorsed by strong New Hampshire women leaders,
including Senator
Jeanne Shaheen, Governor Maggie Hassan, Congresswoman Annie Kuster,
and former New Hampshire House Speaker Terie Norelli. In a sign of
building momentum over the past two weeks, Clinton also earned the
support of progressive leader Dean Barker, State Senator Dan Feltes,
several former Obama Co-Chairs, the National Education Association New
Hampshire, the American Federation of Teachers New Hampshire, the New
England Regional Council of Carpenters Local 118, as well as other
grassroots leaders, federal, state and local elected officials and
civic leaders.
