Hillary for America Announces Nebraska Leadership Council

Hillary for America announced the launch of its Nebraska Leadership Council– a group of over 50 elected officials, community, and grassroots leaders who will help build a grassroots-driven volunteer team that will help Hillary Clinton win the Nebraska caucus on March 5th. Clinton’s Nebraska campaign will be led by Congressman Brad Ashford, former Governor of Nebraska, U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey, and many others.

These Nebraska officials are taking on leadership roles in Clinton’s Nebraska campaign on the heels of her recent trip to Omaha, where along with Warren Buffett, Clinton discussed her plan to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. Yesterday in New Hampshire, Clinton continued to discuss her new plan to prevent, effectively treat and make a cure possible for Alzheimer’s disease by 2025.

Leadership Council members share Clinton’s commitment to raising wages for the middle class, strengthening our nation’s infrastructure to create good-paying jobs, defending and enhancing the Affordable Care Act, ensuring that cost is not a barrier for students going to college, working towards a cure for Alzheimer’s and much more. "I am honored to endorse Hillary Clinton for President.  Her decades of public service have prepared her to lead our nation during these turbulent times,” said Congressman Brad Ashford. “We need more than rhetoric; we need a leader who will bring people together to grow our economy, keep promises to our veterans and protect our nation from terrorism."

"Hillary Clinton is the right person to lead our country going forward. Throughout her career she has made clear that she is committed to fighting for working families and that is what we need here in Nebraska, said former Lieutenant Governor Kim Robak. “I am proud to have the opportunity to help lead Clinton's campaign in Nebraska, and I'm confident she is the right choice for Nebraska's families and families across the county."

“I am proud to support Hillary Clinton and to be part of her Leadership Council here in Nebraska, said State Senator Tanya Cook. “Hillary has the experience and record to lead our country and to fight for the issues that are important to Nebraska's families. I look forward to working to help elect her the next president of the United States.”

Over the course of the campaign, the Nebraska Leadership Council will continue to expand.
