Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Cinton spoke at Sen. Tom Harkin’s 37th Steak Fry at the National Balloon Classic Balloon Field in IndianolaIowa on September 14, 2014 (1, 2).
Independent note: The independent Ready for Hillary super PAC was very active around the Harkin Steak Fry; Ready for Hillary reported that more than 100 RfH volunteers, staff and interns helped with the event.  Volunteers in Iowa and at national headquarters made calls encouraging supporters to buy tickets and attend.  RfH provided transportation and purchased tickets for students at eight Iowa colleges and universities.  A RfH billboard was put up near Des Moines Airport.  On site, the RfH bus was on hand, volunteers put up "Ready." and "Thank You Tom!" signs, and a mobile RfH billboard was on the entrance road.
