Milestones on
the calendar were
the
debates
in
St.
Louis
on October 9 and Las Vegas
on October 19, and Clinton emerged from these encounters well
positioned
for the final stretch.
Through the final debate Clinton had a relatively light
schedule of public
events, but she picked up the pace to close the month. In
particular in
the
days
leading
up
to
the final
debate
Clinton
was
noticeably
absent
from
the
campaign
trail,
while
Trump
continued
to
do
rallies.
The
day
after
the
St.
Louis
debate,
Clinton
drew
a
crowd
of
18,500
people
to
her
rally
at
The
Ohio
State
University,
making
it
the
largest
of
the
campaign
thus
far.
On October 25 Clinton did her final fundraiser, according to CNN's Dan
Merica her 371st of the campaign. As the campaign wound to a
close Clinton hit battleground states, doing a couple of events
a
day, sometimes featuring notable figures from the political or
entertainment worlds (Elizabeth Warren, Michelle Obama, Gabby Giffords,
Jennifer Lopez). She also fit in a handful unannounced
appearances, notably in African American neighborhoods.
