The Clinton
and Trump campaigns produced
some interesting and at times edgy offerings in buttons and
apparel.
Clinton's store features "The Forty-Five Pin Project." The description states, "To help tell Hillary's story, we invited 45 artists and graphic designers to create button designs that embody why they support Hillary." Two- and three- button sets are $4 - $5. In the Trump store one can get the Official Hashtag Button Set, five buttons for $10 (#MakeAmericaGreatAgain, #BuildTheWall, #BigLeague, #I'mWithYou, #Yuge), a set of three Hillary for Prison buttons for $6, and a set of five Hillary Scandals buttons for $10 (Hillary for Prison, Secret Server, Benghazi Cover-Up, Clinton Foundation Scandals, Travelgate). Among the Trump t-shirts were "I Am A Deplorable," "#BuildTheWall," "Liar, Liar, Pantsuit on Fire!" and "Hilliary" (done as Clinton's signature but with an added "i" and "liar" in red). Meanwhile the Clinton t-shirt offerings tended toward the artistic, featuring shirts by a whole range of designers (Tory Burch, David Neville & Marcus Wainwright, Diane von Furstenberg, Eva Fehren, Joseph Altuzarra, Pamela Love, Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Tanya Taylor, Georgina Chapman and Monique Pean). |
