PHILADELPHIA – This schedule is being released for media planning purposes. As the Mayor’s schedule is subject to change, the Mayor’s Office of Communications will continue to release daily public schedules the evening prior at approximately 5PM. The time and date of the Mayor’s Convention address is TBA.
Saturday, July 23
7:00 PM Mayor Kenney to Attend DNC Media Party
The Mayor will join invited guests at this event to welcome media
to the DNC, featuring over 50 of the region’s best restaurants,
caterers and bars and unique live performances from Philadelphia’s art
and cultural organizations concluding with a musical performance.

Sunday, July 24
12:30 PM Mayor Kenney to Speak at Media Avail on DNC
Preparations
The Mayor, Police Commissioner Richard Ross, Fire Commissioner Adam
Thiel, Director of the Office of Emergency Management Samantha
Phillips, Managing Director Michael DiBerardinis and First Deputy
Managing Director Brian Abernathy will discuss preparations for the
convention.

Monday, July 25
2:00 PM Mayor Kenney to Attend Philly Feast, “United We Eat”
The Mayor will attend this food festival organized by the Host
Committee celebrating the region’s diverse food and drink scene. The
event will spotlight the best restaurants, food trucks and craft beer
in the region. Local vendors and members of the City’s vibrant music
scene will also be able to display their talents and products.

3:30 PM Mayor Kenney to Participate in “Strength of the
Union” Immigration Forum
Mayor Kenney, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, Phoenix Mayor Greg
Stanton, immigration experts and activists and business leaders will
engage in a discussion about the impact that 240 years of immigration
has had on the United States. They will also discuss the ways in which
our cities and businesses are building inclusive and welcoming
communities in the absence of comprehensive federal immigration reform.
The discussion will moderated by ‘Voto Latino’ President Maria Teresa
Kumar.

5:00 PM Mayor Kenney to Host DNC Reception for Mayors
The Mayor host a welcoming reception for all Mayors attending the
Democratic National Convention

Tuesday, July 26
10:00 AM Mayor Kenney to Participate in PBS NewsHour Panel
Discussion on Early Childhood Education
The Mayor and U.S. Senator Robert Casey will join other experts and
advocates to discuss the importance of pre-K and early childhood
education. Judy Woodruff will serve as moderator.

12:00 PM Mayor Kenney to Participate in The
Atlantic’s “Rethinking Crime and Punishment, A
Next America Forum”
The Mayor and Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr. will join law
enforcement professionals, members of civil rights and defender groups,
former inmates and community leaders for a robust panel discussion on
criminal justice reform in the U.S. moderated by ‘The Atlantic’s’
Senior Editor Ron Brownstein.

11:00 AM Mayor Kenney to Participate in Mayor’s Against
Discrimination Forum
The Mayor will join Mayor’s Against Discrimination Founder Edwin M.
Lee of San Francisco, CA, Mayor Greg Stanton of Phoenix, AZ, Meghan M.
Barry of Nashville, TN, Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, D.C.,
Chirlane McCray, First Lady of New York City and Co-Chair of the
Equality Caucus, U.S. Congress Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) to discuss
how local LGBT anti-discrimination policy can impact the passage of the
Federal Equality Act authored by Rep. Cicilline.

Fundraiser
The Mayor will help honor Democratic National Convention CEO Leah

Watson Coleman at this event to celebrate champions of justice on
