State Senator Sharon Carson & State Senator Jeanie Forrester
Endorse Republican Carly Fiorina for President

Cite Fiorina’s Real World Leadership as Key to Challenging the Status Quo in Washington

CONCORD, NH – Today, New Hampshire State Senator Sharon Carson (R-Londonderry) and State Senator Jeanie Forrester (R-Meredith) announced their support for Carly Fiorina for president.

“Carly’s positive vision for unlocking the potential of our nation is appealing to me and so many others who have met her here on the campaign trail. She is talking about what we can do as a nation, not dwelling on what we can’t. It is time for an uplifting, real-world leader with the executive experience to tackle our challenges.  That’s Carly Fiorina,” said Senator Sharon Carson.

“We need Carly because she is truly a Washington outsider.  Her life experiences come from the private sector, not government,” said Senator Jeanie Forrester, “Like me, Carly has a business, charitable and nonprofit background and it is this background that has prepared her to lead our nation.  She has accomplished much, knows what it is like to be held accountable and understands how to work with others to inspire change. I am pleased to be supporting her for president,” added Forrester.

Carly Fiorina is the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard and the first woman to lead a Fortune 50 company. She has worked her way up like many Americans having started out as a secretary in a nine-person real estate firm and going on to be an executive at both AT&T and Lucent Technologies before taking the top job at HP.

“In New Hampshire, we see firsthand that citizen-government works. Carly will bring a fresh perspective to Washington to roll back crushing regulations, simplify our onerous tax code and finally shrink the size and price tag of our federal government. And she has specific ideas on how to do it: use zero-based budgeting to legitimize every federal tax dollar spent and cut waste; and leave vacant those federal jobs left by retiring baby boomers. She’s serious about changing Washington for the better and I know she will be successful,” said Senator Carson.

Senator Sharon Carson is Senate President Pro Tempore and is serving her fourth term representing the communities of Auburn, Londonderry & Hudson. She is also the Chair of the Executive Departments & Administration Committee and the Chair of the Judiciary Committee.

“Carly’s work with business and world leaders has proven she has the credibility, the trustworthiness and the negotiating skills to get things done.  I am impressed with her ability to communicate and work with people, and her command of both economic and international issues sets her apart. I hope Granite Staters will join me in supporting Carly Fiorina for president,” added Senator Forrester.

Senator Jeanie Forrester is the Chair of the Senate Finance Committee and a member of that Capital Budget Committee. She is serving her third term representing the 27 towns in northern and central New Hampshire of State Senate District #2.

“We are very excited to have the support of these two well-respected New Hampshire leaders,” said Kerry Marsh, New Hampshire State Director of Carly for America, “Senators Carson and Forrester understand, like Carly, that our nation is at a pivotal point. Republicans must win the White House in 2016 to stop Washington from crushing our small businesses and holding back the potential of our citizens. Carly’s personal story, her vision and her ability to connect with voters will give Republicans a real shot at winning in 2016 and our nation real hope for positive change.”
