Mike Rogers Launches NH Chapter of APPS and Announces Advisory Board

Manchester, NH  - On the heels of the first presidential candidate announcement of the 2016 race, The Honorable Mike Rogers, former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, announced the New Hampshire leadership of Americans for Peace, Prosperity and Security (APPS). Additionally, Rogers announced APPS will host its first New Hampshire national security forum with a presidential candidate during the week of June 22.

“In a time of great uncertainty around the globe, it has never been more crucial that our president is ready to face the increasingly complex national security challenges that lie ahead," Rogers said. "There will be no time for on-the-job training or empty rhetoric.  We want to move candidates past their talking points and engage New Hampshire citizens on the importance of strong foreign policy and American engagement in the world."

"From nuclear proliferation to increasingly sophisticated terrorism networks, the next President of the United States will face complex national security issues," said Walt Havenstein.  "Voters need to hear from presidential candidates about how they would address the challenges facing our nation from around the globe.  Americans for Peace, Prosperity and Security will engage candidates and voters to promote discussion of these challenges. I am proud to join the efforts of Chairman Rogers to focus much-needed attention during the upcoming presidential campaign on candidates' commitment to ensuring the security of American citizens and interests at home and abroad."

APPS will play a significant role in shaping the 2016 debate by hosting national security forums in the early presidential nominating states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.  It will also educate and motivate citizens in these states about the strong national security and foreign policies necessary to provide for American peace, prosperity and security in this century.
