Mike Rogers Announces APPS National Advisory Board

Washington, D.C.  - Today, Mike Rogers, Honorary Chairman of Americans for Peace, Prosperity and Security announced the APPS National Advisory Board.

The APPS National Advisory Board will advise APPS and Chairman Rogers on the strategic international issues on which the 2016 presidential candidates should be focusing.  The Board will also participate in the national security forums planned in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina as schedules allow.

"In order to ensure the right issues get in front of the candidates in the early presidential nominating states, APPS has assembled a stellar National Advisory Board of prominent national security and business leaders," said Honorary Chairman Mike Rogers. "These leaders know the international challenges certain to face the next American president on day one, and they will engage with APPS citizen-activists to raise the level of debate and push candidates beyond rhetoric and talking points."

"APPS is doing incredibly important work in the early presidential nominating states to ensure the next commander in chief is ready on day one," said Steve Hadley. "I am honored to be a part of it."

"I am proud to join this effort to focus much-needed attention during the upcoming presidential campaign on candidates' commitment to ensuring the security of American citizens and interests at home and abroad," said Walt Havenstein.

“National security must be part of the public debate when choosing our next president," said The Honorable Heather Wilson.

"I'm delighted to be part of this important initiative, because APPS is going to make a difference when and where we need it most," said Danielle Pletka. "The two-way flow of information from policy experts to grassroots leaders in early presidential nominating states will help ensure the next president is ready to lead on day one."
