KEY PROGRESSIVE ORGANIZATION TO RELEASE RATINGS
OF DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES AHEAD OF FIRST DEBATE

Scorecard Will Show Which Presidential Candidate
Is Best Positioned to Claim the Progressive Populist Mantle

WASHINGTON–The Campaign for America’s Future will release at noon Thursday a Populism 2015 Candidate Scorecard that rates the major Democratic presidential candidates on key issues of interest to the progressive base.

The scorecard will not only reveal which candidate’s positions come closest to the Populism 2015 platform that the Campaign for America’s Future, National People’s Action, USAction and Alliance for a Just Society, the Working Families Party and Working America released earlier this year, but will reflect the influence that progressive populists have had on the 2016 presidential race generally.

The details for the news teleconference are:

WHAT:
Populism 2015 Candidate Scorecard

WHEN:
12 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 (Add to My Calendar)

WHO:
Robert Borosage, Co-Director, Campaign for America’s Future; Celinda Lake, President, Lake Research Partners

The scorecard will be published Thursday on CandidateScorecard.net, and at that time media, political activists and others will find details on what progressive populists expect of their candidates, how the candidates measure up and links to information sources.  The scorecard is the product of four months of research by Campaign for America’s Future researchers and feedback, when provided, by the campaigns themselves.

The Campaign for America’s Future is a Washington-based progressive movement strategy center, providing analysis and action campaigns designed to promote an economy that works for all Americans.
