JIM BOPP JOINS BOBBY JINDAL’S AMERICA NEXT

 

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Conservative activist and legal expert James Bopp, Jr. has joined America Next to provide both policy and legal expertise to the organization.    

 

Bopp is one of the leading conservative activists in the country, providing both legal counsel and strategic advice for over 30 years to many national clients, including the National Right To Life Committee, Focus on the Family, and the Republican National Committee (RNC). According toRoll Call, he is "the pre-eminent election law attorney for conservative groups.”

Bopp's extensive campaign finance practice has resulted in him being recognized as "the nation's leading litigator against campaign restrictions" by The Washington Post, and being named by the National Law Journal as one of the "100 Most Influential Lawyers in America." Bopp has won nine of the thirteen of his cases decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Bopp was also a longtime member of the Republican National Committee where he served as Vice Chairman and was co-founder and Chairman of the RNC’s Conservative Steering Committee, which counts more than half of RNC's members.  He has served on the National Platform Committee for the last four Republican Conventions and in 2012 was the Chairman of the Platform Committee's Subcommittee on Restoring Constitutional Government. Bopp was a prominent member of the Romney Presidential Campaign where he served as Special Advisor on Life Issues.
