Washington, D.C.-based Steering Committee for Gov. Kasich Formed

Kasich Names Tiberi and Rusbuldt as Chairs

Washington, July 7, 2015 - A Washington, D.C.-based Steering Committee for Governor John Kasich has been formed. Gov. Kasich has tapped Rep. Pat Tiberi (R-Ohio) and Bob Rusbuldt, president & CEO of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, as chairs.

“I am grateful for the support of members of Congress, former members of Congress and private sector leaders in our nation’s capital,” said Gov. Kasich.

“We have received an outpouring of support for Governor Kasich,” said Rep. Tiberi, who previously worked for then-Congressman John Kasich. “The Governor has a proven track record of getting things done for our country and Ohio during his tenure in Congress and as governor.”

The Steering Committee will provide advice, counsel and support to the Governor when and where needed.

“Gov. Kasich is a can do leader who knows how to bring people and resources together to address and fix problems,” said Bob Rusbuldt, president & CEO of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, one of the nation’s largest small business associations. “Elected and private sector leaders know the status quo is not acceptable anymore, and they are attracted to the Governors leadership, record and experience.”
