FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kasich for America Announces Simon Thomson as New Hampshire Campaign Manager

Kasich for America adds New Hampshire staff building on momentum

Kasich for America announced today that Simon Thomson would serve as its New Hampshire Campaign Manager. Thomson has over eleven years of New Hampshire grassroots leadership experience.

“As Governor Kasich continues to grow support in New Hampshire, Simon will help build our state-based grassroots team,” said Kasich for America Strategist John Weaver. “The strong movement we’ve seen in public polls has been matched by increased interest in the campaign and conversions at our town halls. Voters are responding to Governor Kasich’s record of balancing budgets, cutting taxes, and national security experience. Simon will harness the enthusiasm for Governor Kasich and continue to build on our momentum.”

Governor Kasich leapfrogged to 4th place in the NBC/Marist New Hampshire poll released on Sunday. In the June CNN/WMUR poll Governor Kasich was tied for 11th. Following his announcement last week Governor Kasich participated in five town halls in New Hampshire where he was greeted enthusiastically throughout the state.

“New Hampshire is responding to Governor Kasich and his announcement,” Thomson said. “I’m looking forward to building on the success of his announcement tour as we continue to build in New Hampshire.”

Thomson served for nearly four years as a Special Assistant to U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte. He’s also worked as Deputy Director of the Victory Program for the New Hampshire Republican Party. Thomson has also worked for Senator John E. Sununu on his campaign and in his official office. Most recently, Thomson worked at Sheehan Phinney Capitol Group.
