Our fights are her fights

Hillary Clinton is running for president because the deck is stacked for those at the top and it's holding American families back. She's spent her life taking on the tough fights and delivering for kids and families, both at home and around the world. We can count on her to fight and deliver for us, because our fights are her fights.

Raising Wages

Hillary believes raising incomes for hardworking Americans is the defining economic challenge of our time.

Hillary will measure our nation's economic success by how many families get ahead and stay ahead – not by how much CEOs make. She will:

•     Fight for equal pay for women, paid family leave, higher wages, and better jobs.

•     Invest in infrastructure, clean energy, and scientific and medical research to create jobs and strengthen our economy.

Hillary will not let the Republicans rip away the progress we've made with their out-of-date and out-of-touch agenda, and she won't quit until you and your family have the opportunity to get ahead and stay ahead.

Acting on Gun Violence

Hillary believes some fights are too important to give up on – and tackling gun violence is one of them.

As president, Hillary will fight for commonsense reforms to keep Americans safe. She will:

•     Fight for comprehensive background checks.

•     Hold dealers and manufacturers fully accountable if they endanger Americans.

•     Keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers, other violent criminals, and the severely mentally ill.

Hillary understands gun ownership is part of the fabric of many law-abiding communities. But as a nation, we cannot accept 33,000 gun deaths each year as normal.

"Equal pay isn't a women's issue. It's a family issue. It's an economic issue."

Reducing Health Care Costs

Hillary believes affordable health care is a basic human right-but for too many families, out-of-pocket medical costs are growing faster than their wages.

Hillary plans to build on the Affordable Care Act in order to:

•     Reduce cost-sharing for ordinary doctor visits.

•     Create a new tax credit for Americans facing excessive costs.

•     Limit out-of-pocket and drug costs so that families don't have to choose between paying their mortgage and buying the medicine they need.

As president, Hillary will fight tirelessly to defend Obamacare against Republican efforts to repeal it. She will protect the 18 million Americans who now have coverage through the law and continue the work to improve it and curb costs. You've fought hard for this, and she understands we can't turn back now.

Making College Affordable

Hillary believes we need to make a quality education affordable and available to everyone willing to work for it, without saddling them with decades of debt.

Hillary's comprehensive plan will:

•     Ensure that no Iowa student will need to take out a loan to pay for tuition, books, and fees at a fouryear in-state public college – and students at community colleges will receive free tuition.

•     Reduce overall costs, including living expenses, by thousands of dollars with support from schools, states, and the federal government.

•     Enable students and families who have debt already to refinance their loans, and ensure that they never have to pay more than 10 percent of what they make.

Hillary understands how important affordable college is to your future and your families. That's why her plan ensures costs won't be a barrier and debt won't hold anyone back.

"Hillary's New College Compact will make a real difference for me and my family. As a student parent, it would mean everything if getting an education didn't come with decades of debt."

"Republicans keep trying to knock Hillary down, but she never lets them stop her. She just keeps fighting for kids and families. Whether it's equal pay for women or affordable health care, you name a tough fight and she's taking it on.

I'm fighting for HIllary because she's spent her life fighting for us."
