"A nation will not survive morally or economically when so few have so much while so many have so little."

Dear Friend,

The American people must make a fundamental decision. Do we continue the 40-year decline of our middle class and the growing gap between the very rich and everyone else? Or, do we fight for an economic agenda that creates jobs, raises wages, and provides health care and educational opportunity for all?

Are we prepared to take on the enormous economic and political power of the billionaire class? Or, do we continue to slide into economic and political oligarchy?

Should we stand aside as immigrants, people of color, and members of the LGBT community are treated as
second-class citizens, and women are paid less than men for doing the same work? Or, should we stand up for civil rights and equality for all?

These are the most important questions of our time, and how we answer them will determine the future of our country. We need a political revolution that engages millions of people-a movement powerful enough to take America back from the billionaires and create a government that represents all of us, and not just the wealthy few.

Join our campaign, and together we will fight for an America that we can all be proud of.

Sincerely,

The Fight for a Fair Economy

Income and wealth inequality have become the defining issue of our time. The very rich become much richer, while almost everyone else becomes poorer. Despite a huge increase in productivity, millions of Americans are working longer hours for lower wages and 45 million live in poverty. The United States is the wealthiest country on earth-and yet children go hungry, veterans sleep out on the streets, and senior citizens cannot afford their prescription drugs. We need to implement a progressive economic agenda that creates millions of new jobs, raises wages, and provides health care and educational opportunity for all.

Get Big Money Out of Politics

The Supreme Court decision on Citizens United will be remembered as one of the worst decisions in American history. As a result, millionaires and billionaires are in the process of spending unlimited sums of money to buy the candidates of their choice. In fact, one family, the Koch brothers, will spend more money in this campaign cycle than either the Democratic or Republican parties. This is not democracy. This is oligarchy. We must overturn the Citizens United decision and move toward public funding of elections. Our elected officials must represent the needs of their constituents, not their wealthy campaign contributors.

We Must Fight Climate Change

The United States must lead the world in combating climate change and make certain that this planet is habitable for our children and grandchildren. We must transform our energy system away from polluting fossil fuels, and toward energy efficiency and sustainability. We need to take bold and immediate action to stop this global crisis-and we need to take it now.

Equality for All

As a nation, we must eradicate all forms of prejudice and discrimination-especially those against women, people of color, immigrants, and members of the LGBT community. All Americans are entitled to fair treatment and human dignity.
