Hillary Clinton's Plan for an Economy that Works for
Everyone, Not Just Those at the Top
Hillary Clinton believes we are stronger together–that means
building an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.
1. A 100 Days Jobs Plan: Break
Through Washington Gridlock to Make the Boldest Investment in Good
Paying Jobs Since World War II.
Hillary has a plan to invest in infrastructure, manufacturing, research
and technology, clean energy, and small business, so every American who
works hard can find a good paying job.
2. Make Debt Free College Available to All
Americans.
Hillary will allow students with existing debt to refinance their
loans. And she will make college debt free so that we prepare the next
generation for the jobs of the future.
3. Rewrite the Rules for
Corporations So that More Companies Share Profits with
Employees, instead of Just CEOs, and Fewer Ship Profits and Jobs
Overseas.
Hillary will reward companies that share profits and invest in their
workers. She will crack down on companies that try to take the low
road, for example by imposing an "exit tax" on companies that walk out
on America. She will defend Wall Street Reform and push for new
measures to strengthen it.
Hillary will fund these plans by making sure that corporations, the
super wealthy, and Wall Street pay their fair share. so we don't add to
the national debt.
4. Ensure that
Corporations, the Super Wealthy and Wall Street Pay Their Fair Share.
Hillary will pay for all of her priorities and avoid adding to the
national debt by ensuring the super wealthy and the biggest
corporations pay their fair share. She will fight for the Buffett rule,
so no CEO pays less in taxes than their secretary, and close loopholes
that allow companies to avoid taxes.
5. Put Families First by
Making Sure Our Policies Meet the Challenges They Face in the 21st
Century Economy.
Hillary will update outdated laws so they match how families work today
- making it possible for parents to succeed at work and at home. She
will fight for equal pay and guarantee paid leave, two changes that are
long overdue. And she will give relief from the rising cost of
necessities like prescription drugs, child care and housing.
