Stand Up
America PAC is Supporting Evan McMullin for President
Stand Up America PAC is strongly supporting Evan McMullin’s campaign
for President of the United States. Evan is a serious, stable, focused
candidate who is offering a better choice to the millions of Americans
who do not want to vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. We
are working strategically—at the national level, and in targeted
states*—to generate and activate support for Evan among voters, donors
and high-level influencers in the following ways:
- Large Dollar Fundraising
Tapping the conservative, independent and reform donor communities, we
are building the resources necessary to support McMullin’s campaign in
crucial states. We are putting our first dollars into Utah—for polling,
television and digital advertising, and GOTV.
- Paid Television Advertising
We will begin running paid television ads in Utah after Labor Day. The
ads will amplify the campaign’s message that Donald Trump is weak—an
unstable candidate whose silly policy ideas and dangerous fascination
with authoritarians and dictators threatens our safety. In contrast,
Evan McMullin has the demonstrated character, strength, stability,
intelligence and experience to lead our country and solve our most
pressing problems.
- Legal Strategy for Ballot Access
The PAC is preparing to join the campaign’s attack on ballot access
laws—including unreasonably high signature thresholds,
unconstitutionally early filing deadlines, and unduly burdensome
verification procedures—designed to keep high quality, independent
candidates like Evan McMullin from disrupting the two-party status quo.
- Targeted Digital Activity
Web, social media and mobile advertising are important parts of our
plan to drive a message and build support for Evan. We will use public
and internal polling and data to communicate efficiently with key voter
demographics nationally and in targeted states.
- GOTV
The PAC will use phones, mail, social and mobile to turn voters out on
Election Day.
* McMullin is now on the ballot in Utah, Minnesota, and
Colorado.
