Chairwoman McDaniel Announces Additional RNC Staff

WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on the addition of key staff positions today:
 
"I am ecstatic to add Maggie and Molly to the ranks of impressive women leading the RNC on senior staff," said Chairwoman McDaniel. "The RNC's research department was unmatched during the 2016 cycle, and Mike's decades of experience has equipped him to create an operation that will help continue that success for our races in the upcoming years. The addition of these highly qualified individuals will ensure we have the most experienced and capable team as we head into the 2018 cycle."
 
Maggie Boyd, Chief Operating Officer
 
Maggie Boyd joined the RNC in 2013 as Budget Director and then Operations Director for the political department during the 2015-2016 cycle. She previously worked as Deputy Director of Delegate Services and Deputy Director of Administration for the 2012 Republican National Convention, and also served at the 2008 Republican National Convention. During the 2008 campaign Maggie managed the RNC’s Volunteer Deployment effort as Deputy Director. She has worked for the Republican Party of Virginia, Pike Associates LLC, Blank Rome Government Relations LLC and Hovde LLC. Boyd received her bachelor of arts degree in Political Science at The George Washington University, which included a semester studying internationally at the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom. She is originally from St. Louis, Missouri.
 
Molly Donlin, Chief of Staff to the Co-Chair
 
Molly Donlin is a seasoned political operative with over a decade of field experience. She most recently served as the RNC’s Deputy Political Director for both the 2014 and 2016 cycles. In 2012, Molly was the state director for Florida, Ohio, Illinois, and Wisconsin for Governor Mitt Romney’s presidential primary campaigns, and went on to manage his Florida operation for the general election. She directed Michigan’s Victory effort in 2010, and led the 2008 Victory efforts in Arkansas and Pennsylvania. Donlin was a presidential appointee in the Department of Justice Office of Public Affairs in 2005, where she served as assistant to the director. She acted as Deputy Director of Volunteer Development for the RNC in 2005 and 2006, and was a 72-Hour Field Director for Hamilton County for the Ohio Republican Party. Molly attended Xavier University.
 
Mike Reed, Research Director
 
Michael Reed joins the RNC after spending the past year running his own communications and opposition research consulting firm out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Prior to that, Mike worked in the communications department for Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, serving as Communications Director from 2014-2016.  During the 2012 cycle, Reed led the Research Department at the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Previously, Reed worked at McCarthy, Hennings, Whalen Media and on Governor Mitt Romney's 2008 presidential campaign.  He received his undergraduate degree in Public Policy from Hobart College in Geneva, New York, and hails from Andover, Massachusetts.
