RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Announces Kris Anderson as Research Director

WASHINGTON – RNC Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement announcing Kris Anderson as the new Research Director of the Republican National Committee:

“I am excited to announce that Kris Anderson has returned to the RNC to head the accomplished research team as the new Research Director,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “Kris’ extensive background in heading opposition research efforts and in communications on several political campaigns and on the Hill will be an asset to the team as we continue to hold the Democrats, Barack Obama and his administration accountable for their failed policies. Under the direction of Kris, the research team will look to build extensive research files on 2014 Democratic House and Senate candidates, in addition to beginning to focus on potential 2016 Democratic presidential candidates. I look forward to working with Kris to defeat the Democrats and seeing how he and his staff can build on the successful research efforts of last election cycle.”

Kris Anderson returns to the RNC following his most recent period serving as the Research Director on the Romney for President campaign. Prior to joining the Romney campaign, Kris was the Research Director and Deputy Communications Director on Jon Huntsman’s presidential campaign, Director of Strategic Communications for House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy and served in senior roles on multiple statewide campaigns. During the 2008 election cycle, Kris served as a Senior Research Analyst at the Republican National Committee.
