WASHINGTON – Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) in partnership with the Republican Party of Colorado announced the hire of Ian Lindemann as the RNC state director for Colorado. The RNC now has state directors and support staff across nearly half of the country and in every crucial 2014 state heading into the midterm elections. The RNC’s field staff are busy implementing a person-to-person grassroots organizing program to communicate with voters. Under the RNC’s new model, the ground game will be built from the bottom-up, with staff and volunteers focused on communicating and engaging with voters at the precinct level.
 
“The RNC is on the ground building relationships in communities and neighborhoods across Colorado and the country earlier than we ever have before,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “We’re establishing a constant presence in Colorado not only for 2014 but also for 2016 in order to elect Republicans up and down the ticket.”
 
“We’re thrilled to have Ian on board, and I’m confident his experience and grassroots leadership will pay dividends in 2014 and beyond,” said COGOP Chairman Ryan Call.  “We’re rethinking how we do business and our new bottom-up, neighborhood-centered voter engagement efforts will make a tremendous difference in future elections.”
 
With today’s announcement, the RNC has state directors in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
