Oct. 28, 2014 -- Maryland Democratic gubernatorial nominee Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown received the endorsement of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence from the organization's president Dan Gross at an event in front of Democrats' Montgomery County field office at 7833 Woodmont Ave. in Bethesda.  With only a week to go until Election Day, Brown appears to be in a surprisingly close race with Republican businessman Larry Hogan in the campaign to succeed term-limited Gov. Martin O'Malley.
