March 8, 2014--Dr. Ben Carson's appearance was much anticipated, in part because of the efforts of the National Draft Ben Carson for President Committee, which had a very active presence at CPAC.  After the introduction by Tim Goeglein, Carson first presented his wife Candy.
In his speech Carson said the "PC police" have made it so that "people are afraid to speak up for what they believe."  "It's time for people to stand up and proclaim what they believe and stop being bullied," Carson said. (transcript)
