Midterm Elections: Maryland Governor's Race ...1 of 2 >
Nov. 1, 2014 -- Maryland Republican gubernatorial nominee Larry Hogan started the day off with a visit to the Rockville Farmer's Market.  The respected Cook Political Report yesterday moved the Maryland governor's race from "Leans Democrat" to "Tossup."  Democrats' more than two-to-one registration advantage—active registration as of Sept. 2014 was 2,043,479 Democrats (55.0%), 954,940 Republicans (25.7%), 662,964 unaff. (17.8%) and others (1.5%)—gives Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown an edge, but Hogan campaign spokesman Adam Dubitsky said the race "all comes down to economics and taxes."

That is a lot of honey!
Hogan said Maryland must address an anti-business attitude, unpredictable regulatory policies, and high taxes (fifth highest personal income taxes in the nation).  He was endorsed by the Maryland Farm Bureau's PAC on Sept. 26.
