Nov. 12, 2014 -- Sixty members-elect attended the New Member Orientation event organized by the Committee on House Administration in the Capitol Visitor Center.
Congressman-elect John Katko (R-NY), his wife Robin, and an aide arrive for the event.  Katko upset Rep. Dan Maffei (D) in New York's 24th congressional district.
Candice Miller, chair of the Committee on House Administration, opens the orientation.  Members-elect were told, for example, that if they go over their budgets, they have to pay the excess out of their own pockets.  One session is titled, "If I knew then what I know now."

Congresswoman elect Barbara Comstock (R-VA) was elected to succeed long-time Rep. Frank Wolf (R) in the 10th congressional district.
