Feb. 26, 2015--Former Gov. Gary
Johnson (R-NM), seen as a likely candidate for the Libertarian
presidential nomination, participated in a debate on marijuana
legalization with former U.S. Rep. Anne Marie Buerkle, who is now a
commissioner at the U.S. Product Safety Commission. Townhall's Mary Katharine Hamm
moderated the debate, which started out with five-minute opening
statements. Johnson said that as governor, "I came to recognize
hat half of what we spend on law enforcement, half of what we spen on
the courts, and half of what we spend on the prisons is drug-related,
and to what end? Well that end is we put a lot of people in
jail." [C-SPAN
