Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) Speaks Out Against the Iran Deal ... back >
Sept. 8, 2015 - Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), spoke out very forcefully against the Iran nuclear deal at a National Press Club Luncheon terming it "a strategic blunder for the ages" [prepared remarks].  Graham has been a leading and vocal opponent of the deal, holding "No Nukes for Iran" discussions as part of his campaign.  While the deal appears to have the votes to withstand a veto, Graham emphasized the need for a thorough discussion of the deal in the Senate.  He has pointed to a side agreement between Iran and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and said he will seek to cut off funding for the agency unless copies of that agreement are provided to the Senate.
Graham held a media availability after the luncheon.
