January 24, 2015--Former Gov.
Mike Huckabee was last to speak. He started off talking a bit
about his show at Fox, which he left three weeks ago ("it wasn't just
so I could go deer hunting every
Saturday, I can assure you of that.") Among other topics,
Huckabee touched on the threat posed by Islamic jihadism, he explained
his support of the FAIR Tax, he put forth the idea of what he called a
"maximum wage," and he advocated term limits for legislators and for
judges, Huckabee strongly rejected the notion that he supports
Common Core, stating that it has "morphed into a frankenstandard that
nobody including me can support." "Education is not a federal
function; it is a local function," Huckabee stated.
Huckabee likely lost the PETA vote when he stated, "And
folks there are a lot of people in America who want the sausages, they
don't want to kill any pigs. We need to do some pig-killing to
get to the sausage." [transcript]

at Hoyt Sherman Place. Earlier in the day he did a signing in
Ames, and the next day he did signings in Lenexa, KS, Cedar Rapids, and
Windsor Heights. On hand from Huckabee's team were Chip Saltsman,
