Rubio Campaign Announces Expanding Georgia Leadership Team

This morning, the Marco Rubio for President campaign is excited to announce a growing list of conservative leaders in Georgia endorsing Marco. Today's roll out of additional members to Marco's Georgia leadership team comes after a big endorsement from Congressman Lynn Westmoreland.

"The momentum behind Marco's campaign is undeniable, and we are excited to add an impressive list of Georgia leaders to the team today," said Congressman Austin Scott, Marco's Georgia State Chairman. "Republicans across the country are rallying behind Marco because he has an optimistic vision for our nation and a detailed plan to usher in a New American Century. Georgians will play a very important role in ensuring we nominate the candidate best suited to defeat Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in November, and I look forward to working with this outstanding team to energize voters as we approach the March 1 primary."

"A lot of politicians in Washington have talked about the harmful impact Obamacare is having on families across the country but few have actually done anything about it," said State Senator Dean Burke. "Early on, Marco warned of a taxpayer bailout of the insurance industry, and he succeeded in stopping it, already saving taxpayers $2.5 billion. That's the kind of leader we need in the White House, someone who can not only identify problems but can implement solutions. I am proud to support Marco Rubio for president and look forward to working hard to build support for his campaign in Georgia."

"Over the past seven years, we have seen an unprecedented amount of overreach from Washington, making it harder for Georgia businesses to grow and compete in the 21st century," said State Representative Jason Shaw. "We cannot afford another four years like the past seven, which is why it's so important we get this election right. Marco is a next-generation leader who will win in November, and I am proud to endorse him for president."

"I am proud to join the growing list of Georgians supporting Marco Rubio for president," said Watkinsville City Councilman Brian Brodrick. "Americans are frustrated with Washington, and rightfully so. But it's not enough to be frustrated. We need a leader with a positive vision and concrete plans for the future. Marco Rubio has clearly communicated both, and I am confident he will unite our party and win the general election."

"Marco is gaining momentum because his optimistic vision of a New American Century in which more Americans than ever before will be able to live the American Dream resonates with real people," said Micah Johnson, regional spokeswoman. "We are honored to have the support of these Georgia leaders and look forward to sharing Marco's message with voters across the state as we approach the March 1 primary."
