State Senator Katrina Shealy endorses Jeb

Today, at Jeb's event in South Carolina State Senator Katrina Shealy announced that she is supporting Jeb for President. State Senator Shealy will serve as a State Co-Chair for the Campaign.

“We have a lot of great candidates for President in this Republican primary, and any one of them would be preferable to Hillary Clinton, but Jeb Bush is a conservative with the executive experience to shake the Washington establishment to the core,” said State Senator Shealy. “In addition, he is the only candidate talking substantively about his plans to cut taxes and regulation, secure our border, and rebuild our military.  His record in Florida proves he is a doer, and I trust him to do what he says as President.”

“We need to innovate. To empower. To uplift. Everything Jeb Bush has done in Florida. Under Jeb's leadership, Florida made education about outcomes - not about bureaucracies.  Jeb made education about parents and children - not about new programs. Most importantly, Jeb made education about what's best for the students - not what's best for government,” Shealy continued.

Senator Shealy is the only Republican woman serving in the South Carolina State Senate and has quickly established a reputation for being conservative, fair-minded, and committed to putting people over politics.  Her pro-business and pro-life credentials make her one of the most coveted endorsements of this political cycle.

“Katrina Shealy is a great leader for South Carolina,” said Jeb Bush. “I am committed to fix the dysfunctional culture of Washington and get the federal government working for the American people again, and Senator Shealy will be an important part of that effort. I am honored to have her advice and leadership for this campaign.”
