Jeb Announces Law Enforcement Coalition

After visit to the Southern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center this morning

After a visit to the Southern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center this morning, Governor Bush is announcing his Law Enforcement Coalition made up of federal and state officials. This group will help promote Jeb’s message and build support among the law enforcement community.

“Governor Jeb Bush’s support for law enforcement is one that makes men and women in uniform proud. He gave cops the support they needed to do their jobs, which is why crime dropped to 35-year lows when he was Governor of Florida. Jeb ensured those who risk their lives by serving in the line of fire had their pay increased, their retirement benefits restored, their pensions fully funded, and they could rely on their Governor to look after their families and their health,” said Joe Lombardo, Sheriff, Las Vegas, NV Metropolitan Police Department.

“Gov. Jeb Bush is a leader who’s been tested under fire. The American people want to know who can shepherd the ship of state in times of peril. When his state’s citizen’s faced dangers to life and limb, Jeb was up to the challenge. Jeb is the candidate who best understands the threats our nations face from at home and abroad. And he’s proven his mettle, as a tough and tested leader in times of crisis,” said Michael Chertoff, former Secretary of Homeland Security.

“Gov. Jeb Bush understands the importance of controlling our country’s border and has a plan that will achieve this goal. But he also recognizes that securing our border requires real solutions, not sound-bites and gimmicks. Jeb understands real leadership also requires fixing our legal immigration system, to ensure both our nation’s security and economic prosperity. Jeb is the candidate with a plan that’s actually up to the challenges we face,” said Judge Robert Bonner.

“The first and most important test a candidate must pass is the Commander-In-Chief test. Jeb Bush is a strong, proven leader who knows what it takes to prosecute the war against ISIS and global terrorism. Jeb will provide leadership that’s both strong, and in keeping with our Constitution and American values. He has the experience and judgement to keep us both secure and free,” said Michael Mukasey, former Attorney General of the United States.
