Darrell Castle
Constitution Party Nomination Acceptance Speech
Salt Lake City, Utah
April 16, 2016

Prepared Remarks  |  [C-SPAN video]

I accept your nomination.

I rise today in defense of liberty. The general government of the United States was created for a specific purpose; to protect our God given rights. Anything the general government does that runs afoul of that specific purpose i.e. to protect our God given rights is unlawful and unconstitutional. Since virtually all government actions run afoul of that purpose, virtually all government actions are unlawful and unconstitutional.

It is time for us to reexamine the purpose for which our government was created. A time to examine how that purpose has been unlawfully subverted and replaced with a new purpose, which is a new global order. This new order has delivered America into the hands of a supranational authority having six pillars as its foundation. None of these pillars involve the United States Constitution or even the rule of law.

They are:

What is the global elite’s plan for the United States and the world?

1.       World money. The money will probably emerge as SDR’s or special drawing rights issued by the IMF or International Monetary Fund. This money will not be available to individuals but will be the benchmark for oil prices and other goods and services in world trade. It will help erase the real value of debts and alleviate government debt burdens.

2.       World taxation. A continued source of revenue is needed for the global elite to be enriched and in control. That is all very expensive so expensive global dangers such as climate change have to be invented as a reason for a global tax.  Global problems know no borders.

3.       World Government. Necessary to administer the world money and world tax. The real world government power is the IMF and G-20 leaders. IMF is defacto central bank of the world and the G-20 is the world government board of directors.

4.       Cashless society. Necessary to impose the hidden tax of negative interest rates and inflation. Savers will be forced into digital form to be fleeced.

5.       Negative interest rates. Confiscation of wealth. Inflation robs you by making your money worth less but deflation makes it worth more so deflationary times call for negative rates.

6.       Debt monetization. When individuals refuse to borrow and spend, governments will do it for them. Increased spending means larger deficits covered by larger bond purchases. The bonds are purchased by central banks with newly created money then stashed on the banks balance sheets forever.

The bible tells us in James 4:17 That to him that knoweth to do right and doeth it not it is sin.

There are three legs of the program to save the Republic

1.       Get out of the Supranational Order

2.       End the Federal Reserve. No more fake money.

3.       Solve the debt problem—otherwise we are slaves to our creditors

Through the charter of our liberty, the Constitution, the sovereign states delegated but 17 powers to the general government. The tenth amendment makes it abundantly clear that all others are retained by the states or the people. The general government has exceeded the clear bounds of its jurisdiction under the Constitution and has thus violated the God given rights of the people.

This unconstitutional usurpation of power by all three branches of the general government and the failure of the 50 sovereign states to exercise their authority as principals to the Constitution and to control the actions of their agent is at the very heart of America’s many ills.

It is appropriate then for us to take a brief look at some of the remaining candidates in the Democrat and Republican parties to discern, if we can, where they stand with regard to the importance of the Constitution.

1.       Hillary Clinton recently said that unborn “persons” have no Constitutional rights. Well I beg to differ. The Constitution says nothing about a right to an abortion but it does say, more than once, that no “person” may be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law. Those persons that Mrs. Clinton said had no Constitutional rights are not statistics they are living human beings and so I hope that statement haunts her for the rest of her life.

2.       Bernie Sanders refers to himself as a Democratic Socialist but nowhere in the Constitution does it grant the general government the right to own the means of production, the allocation of that production, or the redistribution of the property of American taxpayers. The road to hell is deeply paved with such things.

3.       Ted Cruz has far too many establishment ties to be constitutional. His wife is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and she is ex Goldman Sachs. That is much too close to global elite for my comfort. Plus, honor should prevent him for stealing the nomination by depriving the people of their voted for choice.

4.       Donald Trump is apparently not a global insider and apparently that is why they and their propaganda arms hate him so much. He actually does seem to care about the American people and wants to do what he thinks is right. Not what the Constitution permits but what he thinks is right and therein lies the rub. He has no conception of the Constitution or the rule of law; just what seems right to him.

This supranational authority that I mentioned earlier is very powerful, its followers are many and they are very entrenched. They control every facet of government and most of the corporate boards especially the media giants. It would be fair to say that you don’t reach one of those positions without the endorsement of this global authority. But we don’t have to fear them for two reasons.

1.       God rules in the affairs of people and nations. He decides who is elected and who rules nations the bible makes that very clear. If he decides that Hillary Clinton is to be President of the United States then he must have decided that we don’t deserve anything else. He often used wicked, pagan kings as judgment on his own people.

2.       We are descended from great warriors. Even our friends in Europe who seem so unwilling to defend themselves are descended from warriors, not cowards. Europe has been invaded before, many times in fact. If you visit Scotland now and you journey up to the northernmost part of the island you can see monuments to those who fought off the Viking invaders. The same is true across the northern coast of Germany and the Low Countries.  These people didn’t cower in fear when they learned the Vikings were coming and there was no one to beg for help. Instead they stripped naked, they painted their bodies, they got their swords and spears and they went down to the beach to wait for the enemy.

The enemy is many and we are few, but did you know that less than 1000 young men saved Great Britain and along with it all of civilization from invasion and conquest by the Nazis. Well they did and they didn’t do it by hiding in their homes, or by saying I’m too old, too sick, too tired on down the line. They did it by getting up every day and by climbing in those Hurricanes and Spitfires and going up alone to face the enemy 10 times their number sometimes 6 or 7 times a day often sleeping in the cockpit while their plane was being refueled and rearmed. One out of six died in the struggle but they didn’t quit until the Germans called off the invasion.

US Marine general James Mattis is credited with saying that “no war is over until the enemy says it’s over. We may think it’s over, we may declare it over, but in fact, the enemy gets a vote.
Those British airmen had to keep flying until Hitler said the invasion is off.

Our enemy has declared victory over us. We are divided, confused, propagandized and defeated but we have to let him know that this war is not over until we say it’s over and there’s a lot of fight left in us. I recently saw an interview with one of those British flyers that is still alive. He said it wasn’t a hard decision for me I was fighting for my neighborhood. We are fighting for our neighborhoods now. The enemy is amongst us. He is in our school, in our workplace, and in our government, and even in our homes. We don’t live in history we live now.  As Leo Tolstoy said “now is the only time over which we have power.”The situation is desperate and the hour is late but is it too late?

I don’t think it is folks. I know we can save this country if we can just put our differences aside and go out to face the enemy as one. Liberty is on the verge of vanishing from the earth folks but I promise you this: If elected I will do what I have promised you I will do or I will die trying.
So help me God

Background
In 2015 Darrell Castle had begun preparing to run for the Constitution Party presidential nomination when he was diagnosed with melanoma, necessitating surgeries on his back and then his leg.  He largely wrote off the idea of a campaign, but by March 2016 doctors gave him a clean bill of health.  A draft movement developed, and things all came together pretty quickly.

Bob Peck described events in an April 8, 2016 Facebook post:

For over a year now, we have had one or more people seeking the Constitution Party nomination. More names got added along the way, some have dropped out, others were rumored to be interested in the nomination, and several people who we've never even heard of have filed with the FEC as "Constitution Party." Throughout this time, a number of state party leaders, national committee members, etc, have indicated concern that we had not yet attracted or recruited the right candidate who they could get behind - a candidate who instills that sense that they truly "should be President." This is not meant as a slam against those who have sought the nomination, at least two of whom I sincerely appreciate for their time and sacrifices that have helped to bring attention to our party and its principles.

Some people were hoping our party's Presidential search committee was still working on the matter and might come up with something. Some party members have reached out to different people asking if they would run, but those efforts didn't pan out. Over the past few months, people in at least eight different states have indicated to me a desire for another choice in this race and most of those have named Darrell as someone they would support.

The point is that this is not "last minute." There have been a number of people considering this matter and harboring concerns for many months, but they were holding their breath hoping something would happen. About two weeks ago, with the convention looming on the horizon, a couple of people finally found themselves compelled to take action and set the wheels in motion to draft Darrell in the hope that he will accept the nomination.

Regarding this being a "back room, good ole boy movement," some of those desiring this move are old-timers and a few are newer, but I can assure you they are not part of any particular "circle" or "click" within our party. The two people who have decide to set this movement in motion on behalf of the others who have indicated a desire for it, live in different states and neither are members of the national executive committee. From what I know, and am observing, this is truly "grassroots," ie, coming from various state party leaders and national committee members who honestly want Darrell as the nominee. It is in no way planned, organized or facilitated by any of the party's executive leadership.

Kevin mentioned Darrell's health issues and Jeff pointed out that Darrell had said that he would not be running. The story behind that is that some people were encouraging Darrell to start a campaign last year, and he almost did, but then the health issue was discovered. After placing things on hold for several months, Darrell finally said that he would not be running, ie, not organizing and mounting a campaign seeking the nomination. However, I understand that just a few weeks ago Darrell's doctor finally gave him a clean bill of health, so that is no longer an issue. While Darrell is still not "seeking" the nomination, I believe that if the delegates to the convention desire him as their nominee, he will be willing to serve in that capacity.

Darrell is not a self promoter and has never wanted to "seek" the nomination, but has always been willing to represent our party "if" we want him and ask him to be our nominee.
