Chafee Iowa Visits

Iowa: 4 visits, 9 days
>Former Gov. Lincoln Chafee visited Iowa on August 29-30, 2015; this trip followed his appearance at the DNC Summer Meeting in Minneapolis.  On August 29 he participated in the #UniteIowa on Immigration Forum at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake (+).  On August 30 he spoke at the Progress Iowa Corn Feed at Simon Estes Amphitheater on the bank of the Des Moines River in Des Moines.

>Former Gov. Lincoln Chafee visited Iowa on August 14-15, 2015.  On the evening of August 14 he spoke at the Iowa Democratic Wing Ding at the Historic Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake.  On August 15 he visited the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, including speaking at the Des Moines Register Soapbox at 11:30 a.m..  Note: Chafee drove to Iowa and back.

>Former Gov. Lincoln Chafee visited Iowa on July 15-18, 2015.  He and an aide drove from Rhode Island.
On July 15 in Des Moines, he stopped at Mars Cafe at Drake University, appeared on The Roske Report and Local 5 News; and, his one event, in the evening he held a meet and greet at Dos Rios restaurant.
On July 16 in Grinnell he met with fellow Brown University alum Neill Goltz, who introduced him to voters during lunchtime at a Chinese restaurant. Then he travelled to Cedar Rapids.
On July 17 he worked on his speech and in the evening spoke at the Iowa Democratic Party Hall of Fame dinner at the Convention Center in Cedar Rapids.
On July 18 he visited with Iowa county chairs attending a boot camp sponsored by the Iowa Democratic Party at Ladd Library in Cedar Rapids.
