Rubio Blows Away Competition in Puerto Rico
With his victory in the Republican Presidential Primary in Puerto Rico on Sunday, Marco Rubio picked up another 23 delegates. Rubio won every delegate possible in the contest by winning more than 50 percent of the vote, the first Republican candidate to do so in any presidential primary.Over the weekend, Rubio won roughly one in four delegates available. His home state primary of Florida, just ten days down the road, offers the single largest delegate haul of the 2016 primary, with 99 delegates all going to the winner.
It’s not the number of states won that decides the Republican nominee -- it’s the delegates.
