STATE DEMOCRATIC CHAIR NAMES PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY DELEGATES

15 Delegates Named Proportional to Presidential Vote & following Formal Certification of Election Ballots

WARWICK, R.I. –Chair Joseph M. McNamara, of the Rhode Island Democratic Party, announced Monday evening the 15 names of the winning delegates of the recent Presidential Preference Primary. These names were based upon the Rules of the Democratic National Committee, and adhered to their mathematical model for determining who would be delegates. (That model included Presidential Preference by Congressional District, vote count and gender.)

The April 26 Primary delegate results are as follows:

On June 12, the R.I. Democratic Party State Committee will hold its quadrennial Convention for the election of the balance of Pledged delegates - 3 PLEO (Party Leaders & Elected Officials) and 6 At-Large delegates. These 9 delegates will be awarded proportionately for Sanders and Clinton based on the election results.
