Columbia, SC - The South Carolina Democratic Party is pleased to announce there are 179 Democrats running to be Delegates to the 2016 National Democratic Convention in Philadelphia, which will be July 25-28, 2016.

The national Delegates will all be elected at the SCDP Convention on April 30, 2016 at the Columbia Convention Center. The list of the candidates for delegate is listed on our website and can be found by clicking here.

There are 75 males and 104 females running for the 35 Congressional District positions, 7 PLEO (Pledged Party Leaders and Elected officials), 11 At-Large Delegates and 4 Alternates.  South Carolina also has six unpledged Delegates who are DNC members, Party Officers, former DNC Chairman and Congressman Jim Clyburn for a total delegation of 63 Delegates.
