Hillary for America Announces Ohio Leadership Council

Hillary for America announced the launch of its Ohio Leadership Council– a group of over 60 elected officials, community, and grassroots leaders who will help build a grassroots-driven volunteer team that will help Hillary Clinton win the Ohio primary on March 15th. Clinton’s Ohio leadership council will be led by US Senator Sherrod Brown, US Representative Tim Ryan, US Representative Marcia Fudge, US Representative Joyce Beatty and many others.

Leadership Council members share Clinton’s commitment to raising wages for the middle class, strengthening our nation’s infrastructure to create good-paying jobs, defending and enhancing the Affordable Care Act, ensuring that cost is not a barrier for students going to college, working toward a cure for Alzheimer’s and much more. Ohioans can learn more about Clinton’s agenda.

“I am proud to endorse Hillary Clinton for President because I know she has what it takes to stand up for Ohio’s working families, said Senator Sherrod Brown. From opposing unfair trade deals, to pushing for a fair financial system, Hillary has proven she will be a President who fights for middle-class values and puts working people and small businesses ahead of Wall Street profits.”

“During the time I’ve spent in the Legislature, I’ve had countless conversations with constituents who all believe in the same idea: that every American deserves an equal opportunity to get ahead. I believe that, too, and that’s why I’m supporting Hillary Clinton for President, said Representative Kathleen Clyde. “Hillary Clinton is the best candidate to tackle the issues that keep everyday Americans up at night. She is an impressive, competent leader who promises to push for voting rights, quality and affordable healthcare, and investments in early childhood education. I am thrilled to serve on her Ohio Leadership Council.”

“When Hillary Clinton travelled to Ohio in September, she made one thing very clear: she is prepared and determined to fight every single day for a stronger, more equal America, said Senate Minority Leader Schiavoni. “She promised Ohioans – young and old – that she would fight tirelessly to make sure their voices are heard. Hillary’s vast domestic and foreign policy experience positions her as the best candidate to represent the interests of middle-class Americans in Washington, and I’m honored to help her team in Ohio.”

Over the course of the campaign, the Ohio Leadership Council will continue to expand.
